serpentine belt

Postby RB25DET » 05 Jul 2010, 23:07

I've been trying to order a serpentine belt for an M1123 with the MAK kit on it. However I can't find the correct NSN to order it. I've ordered it with the NSN I found in the TM but it is the wrong one. Because the Belt that I received was 97 inches long and it fits the M1123 without the compressor for the air conditioning system. The one that I need is 126.5 inches long. I looked at the TI for the MAK Kit it has the same NSN that I found in the TM and it was wrong. Everytime I ordered it I got the shorter belt.
Any Ideas?

Do you have the old style power streering pump with the reservoir on the front of the engine? My truck doesn't have the new PS pump and it has a A/C compressor. the belt tensioner was so hyper extended on this tight belt that the belt was not riding on the belt tensioner pulley but it was riding on the belt tensioner body instead. It rubbed until it broke. Long story short (too late, right), I am submitting the truck for WIR for lack of supply support.

"For vehicle M1123 with the AOA RED DOT air conditioning installed (s/n 196901 and above) uses belt NSN 3030015242460 part number RD5-11792-0P which is 126 inches long."

check your Chassis Serial Numbers... your parts in the TM that are based on Ser No. 299999 and below or Ser No. 300000 and above are based on them!!!
