Shifting between gears kills truck

Postby SgtCathers » 22 Jul 2013, 19:00

Ok, so we have these two M1114's and everytime you move the selector between 1st and drive or to reverse, the truck will shut off. It's getting proper fuel everywhere, no codes from the transmission, switched out the entire TCM/control box assembly, pushed the reset button,I adjusted the idle, adjusted the TPS, checked the tiss/toss, Hooked up the supershifter ran through all of those tests... lead me no where. Only thing that is throwing me for a loop... with the super shifter hooked up, it won't recreate the problem I can shift it all I want using the gear selector. With it unhooked it will die every time. I swear everything happens in waves with these trucks.

When you put it in drive will it run through the gears? Or does it die as soon as you put it in drive?

If i start it up and go from park to drive, it'll be just fine. But I found it when I was running the transmission through the gears to check the fluid and it died going from 1 to D.
