So the thought process was that if we raise the wheels off the ground and put into gear, all for wheels should move while pushing on the accelerator. We did all of that and none of the wheels moved. I am leaning towards a bad or burned out transfer case. Thoughts?

Did the transmission get replaced in this vehicle and NOW you're having these problems?
1. Did anyone adjust the linkage for the Transfer case?
2. While the vehicle is on jack stands and OFF disconnect the linkage at the "T" case then move the lever by hand all the way forward. Low position. Turn the vehicle on and put it in gear, all wheels should spin
3. Turn it off and move it one notch back and that should be "N" Neutral
4. One more notch back and that should be High
5. Last one back should be High Lock
If the wheels spin doing this then you'll need to adjust the linkage. Also with the vehicle off and the T case at these shift points, spin any tire by hand. If it spins the rest of the tires then your T case is fine and your problem lies elsewhere.

dropped the transmission pan...metal shavings everywhere, it looked like JB weld over everything. floating it tomorrow.

we manually tested the transfer and everything works fine. we are also ordering a new torque converter.

the transmission and torque converter smells burnt. the seals are all good to btw.

So after a long while and many hours of troubleshooting the MRC-145 is done. We went on a road test for 33 miles total trip and made it back with no issues.

all in all I think the first transmission was good but because we didn't reset the TCM is immediately put it in safe mode and kept it in 2nd gear. so we floated that transmission and got a new one in. before we started I made sure to disconnect the TCM from the main wiring harness. we installed and filled all POLs. runs like a dream for the time being.

Thank you to all that imputed and messaged me.
