MRC-148 Battery Drains

Postby jagers25 » 02 Nov 2018, 08:37

Here at my unit we have a decent amount of MRC-148 radio in our M1123's. For some reason every single one of them has a battery drainage problem. Every time I go out to move one the batteries are dead and my COMM-ELEC guy has no idea why either. Does anyone have a clue as to why the batteries would drain?

I dont know if this is the right answer (motor T gods correct me) but we used to always keep the solar trickle chargers hooked up to our MRC vics. At an I&I unit where we left them alone for 30 days at a time, they were always dead until i did that. Let me know.

Would you happen to have any information on the solar charger? I know there is a solar charger MOD on the Generators that I have installed before. Would it possibly be the same?

I believe it is the same thing, but I will ask around to make sure.

You will need to download the slack app on your phone. I posted your same question there and got a response in seconds.
