Postby SUPERMOD » 31 Jan 2012, 16:16

Got this info, store it and use it.

"Gent's
I was browsing the online PS magazine for this month, (Thanks for the link CWO Truesdale) and noticed that the new ECV's have a NEW PCB that is not reflected in the manual. Attached are the pic's of one of the ECV's we received from the IIP and the article. Not sure if you have all heard about this but FYSA.

SMART START SYSTEM S3

Postby SUPERMOD » 02 Feb 2012, 07:45

EESS Controller being replaced with the SMART START SYSTEM S3.

FYI
NIIN's
01-491-2158, 01-463-9260, 01-491-2142 and 01-491-2152 have an AAC code of Y, no available stock on hand according to DOD MALL as of 01 February 2012.
They've been replaced with NSN 6110-01-542-7901. This is called the SMART START SYSTEM (S3).

When you order Prime NSN 6110-01-542-7901 you'll receive the remote switching control 6110-01-542-7668 and the control unit temp sensor NSN 2920-01-469-6903. It's actually cheaper to order 6110-01-542-7901 then to order separately. Some temperature sensors could have a silver band type.

You'll notice a third connector on this box which will be used at a later date for data logging and troubleshooting.
Attachments have the LARS ALL for the S3 control box and description details on the S3.
