CHARGING SYSTEM

Postby CPLSTUCK » 05 Mar 2015, 08:29

GOOD AFTERNOON,
I HAVE A HMMWV, M1152A2 WITH A 400AMP ALTERNATOR WITH A GHOST PROBLEM.
WHEN ACCELERATING AT A SLOW OR MEDIUM PACE IT DOES FINE.. HOWEVER IF YOU HIT THE PEDAL AT A FAST PACE OR FLOOR IT THE RPM'S DROP AS WELL AS THE VOLTS ON THE GAUGE DROP TO ABOUT NONE.
I HAVE GONE THROUGH AND PERFORMED THE FUCTIONALITY TESTS ON- BATTERY SYSTEM, ALTERNATOR SYSTEM, WIRING SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL PANEL(GAUGES), AS WELL AS TESTED THE REGULATOR.
EVERY TEST CHECKED OUT IN GOOD CONDITION AS WELL WE HAVE JUST REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND REGULATOR.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I COULD GO FROM HERE OR HAVE ANY TRICKS I COULD TRY OR TESTS THAT WOULDNT BE IN THE TM?

Anything electrical involving the rpm gauge and the like, I'd suggest looking at the voltage regulator/PCB. If it is somehow actual issue not electrical I'd adjust the TPS and possibly check the fuel injection pump.
