New Type Spindles for vehicls with Mfg # numbers 300000

Looking at TM 9-2320-387-24P C05, dtd Mar 2002, Fig 1131 on pg 0114 001-1 shows the entire spindle assembly for the newer trucks (Allen lock nut type). Is there a newer manual that has the breakdown of the internal parts of the spindle, and is there an NSN for the spindle nut much like the socket we had for the old style spindle nuts??

If you're talking about for PMCS purposes, I don't think the ones with serial number 300000 and above need to be adjusted if they have the new type of spindle nut. I beleive it's just a drain and fill if you look in the TM.

Yes, it's not part of the annual or biennial PMCS for the new style of spindle. If you touch it you'll screw it all up. As for the TM find it here (

http://www.logcom.usmc.mil/sp_logon/).
Select the search for the SL-1-2 and do a publications search by TAMCN or ID number and you'll get what you need.

Is there a TI or anything that says that it no longer needs to be replaced or taken off? thank you for the info.

It says it in the TM right under pmcs MFG serial numbers 300000 and above do not need to be adjusted.
