Hello Everyone,
I am GySgt Screws and am currently at Cherry Point. My last unit was the school house where I was an instructor for 3 years on the basic side was there from August of 2010 to August of 2014. I was able to attend the Master Instructor Program and also completed the program. I enjoyed my time there being apart of change however the change start with the Fleet Marine Force primarily us as the Chiefs taking an interest in what is being taught to the young mechanic or technician that they are calling them now days and providing our input to the school house or better yet go an instruct there and make a change within. It is not hard to introduce new things to the school house we just have to do it and be realistic when we do it. Remember most of what we learn is OJT once in the fleet and not everyone grew up with a wrench in their hand. We as NCO's and SNCO's have an obligation to our community talk to each other and pass on what we know and what we have. I am glad I found this site through a fellow SNCO and am looking forward to helping young and old alike come together in our community. Am open to questions and conversations on most anything. Like I said I am currently at Cherry Point and am from the Hubert, NC area.

First, Sorry I didn't do the introduction part sooner but I jumped in with both feet to start answering questions....
My name is Allen, I've Been a recertified ASE Master with L-1 Advanced Engine performance for 15+ yrs. I started my wrench turning on a farm, dirt track stock car and drag racing in Oklahoma. Marine 1980-1989, held MOS's 3521-3523-0411. Yes, That was 3523, That was when they felt wrecker operators should fix the vehicle before dragging it, I get it, In combat you don't have time for that. Now I'm working RBE Maintenance at Camp Lejeune, NC. I now have 39 yrs of busted knuckles, bumped heads and hard of hearing, so I am Here to help needed. If I don't Know I'll try to find the answer and post when I can.
