INSTRUMENT PANEL INOP

Postby MotorTM00307 » 26 Apr 2017, 08:14

I have an M1123, nothing works on the instrument panel except the high beam indicator. The wait to start does no illuminate, the e-brake light does not illuminate, the tranny light does no illuminate, the t/c lock light does no illuminate and the wipers don't work. Other than that everything else works including all vehicle lights and brake lights. TM says replace or repair wire 29D or body wiring harness but I have power going in and out of the circuit breaker so I know that its not the wiring harness. Sounds to me like a grounding issue but I'm not 100% sure on that. if anybody has had this problem or has any opinions, anything helps. I've had this truck for almost 4 days now and I'm getting really tired of it and bored of working on it

That seems to be what everything I've done is going towards. I still think I may be able to pin point the problem and fix it. I'm gonna try one more option by using a compass along the harness.

yeah it definitely is going to be one or two wires in the harness, but the legwork you will have to do might not be worth it. Let me know what you decide and when it's done if it was the solution.
