here is an email I got back from one of my old Maint Chiefs that I trust:

"Sgt Smart,

Is he looking for another Roll away than the one that is discussed in C7915 SL-3? I have attached that SL-3. Look at page 5, #26. The roll away in there is the K7901, $783.00. Let me know if I'm on the right track, or completely off. Call me if you need to. Take care"

does this help?

Clarification: The following clarification is provided until the change is reflected in the next revision of the order: When SL-3 components received through the supply system (including open purchases from a commercial vendor) to replace missing or unserviceable items do not match the exact descriptive data of the stocklist, units are authorized to maintain those items if the item received meets the “Form”, “Fit”, and “Function” of the SL-3 component.

What you guys are missing out on in this conversation is that it's UURI. You either purchase it or have your commander authorize you to NOT purchase the sockets and roll-a-way. It's very clear that you don't have the option to swap it out. It's part of an SL-3. All old gear does not meet the fit and function of these roll-a-ways as these have rails that securely hold the pelican case to the top preventing safety issues of the box falling and either hurting someone (crushing their head) or breaking the case.
