I think this maybe what was linked. I'll look into getting the link fixed. If you need a copy of the checklist or have specific questions over them, post up and I'll answer. It may take me a few days to answer but I'll get you an answer. Mods if something is posted and I have not answered please contact me to let me know. Thanks.

We are transitioning to Global Combat Support System- Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). The FY11 checklist is a good tool to use to continue to assess our functional areas. That being said, a new checklist has been implemented to focus on GCSS-MC cutover. Below is a link (CAC required access) that will provide a lot of information for the process, training, and the checklist used for the cutover compliance analysis.

One of the easiest, but often overlooked parts of the FSMAO/LRE inspections are APPOINTMENT LETTERS. They are often out of date or have the wrong references on them. Anyone have digital copies of those to post in here? I had once upon a time All the APPT LETTERS on a single word doc (about 40 pgs long) for both OPS and MAINT side. I could kick myself for losing that.

i got all mine electronic.. just gotta figure out how to upload them.. its fairly simple once they are done.
dont forget that some billets CAN be combined in the appointment letters to combine desktops.. just an FYI..

If you all have them digitally go ahead and post them up in a separate post titled appt letters or something so that everyone can see them...this will help make us all more uniform and in the grand picture make all of our fsmao inspections go smoother since we will be all on the same page. Thanks guys.

Chaotic, please understand that based on your MSC MMSOP you may be required to have individual Desktops.

This assignment of required Desktops is not 4790 driven it's at the local MSC level, however there are some Desktops that the 4790 directs will be made and more often than not those are the same ones every MSC has in their MMSOPs but I don't want Chiefs to NOT do their research in their area.

everything is based upon your MMSOP... and your MMSOP is changed yearly.. you can always recommend to your command these items.. its easier to have one desktop for one person... since half the time we dont have the personnel available.. but yep.. check your MMSOP to ensure you are IAW ref and dir...

3D Mar Div hasn't changed theirs since 1996... MMPNs can also direct who should have desktops/turnovers as well.

This is for conversational purposes, not to insult your knowledge (which you seem to think from your last post).
