M1152 Condenser fans

Postby USMC3529 » 25 Oct 2015, 19:13

I have an 1152 that needs a/c condenser fans replaced. Looking in TM 9-2320-387-24P / TM 11033-INP I can see the parts required. I can also find a part # listed on page# 0282 01-1 (electronic page 1,501). This part number (P/N 6015458) doesn't exist within fedlog. IETMs here are outdated as they are awaiting replacements and others are forward. Anyone have a chance to help us out?

Appreciate the help! Looking at FedLog that is a NIIN for a "MODIFICATION KIT,VEHICULAR EQUIP" with a cost of $1,557.50. I'll look a little deeper into just finding condenser fans separate from this. Does anyone know if the fans are the same for the armament version and the non-armored? I do not have armored M1152s to look at to compare. I know they are mounted different and have different brackets and mounting panels but theoretically the fans should be similar, right?

I remember it being pricy, but I remember the conversation I had when I followed up with AM general about it, you can only order the whole kit to replace anything and it's why pretty much everything is the same P/N.

Email I sent to AM General:
We’re trying to order an A/C Condenser for a M1152A1. In the TM I believe it is Figure. 281A Item #3, it lists only part number which is 6015458. I’ve tried looking up the part number in webflis and fedlog to no avail and have been unable to procure an NSN. Thank you very much.

AM General Reply:
The correct PN for that item is AMG PN 5717187 with the NSN of 2540-01-558-3448 for the replacement kit.

Ok, so searching the borrowed CF-19 Toughbook, I located the 2 condenser fan assemblies for M1152, UOC: UUU, Non-armored version that's in the rear wheel wells.
4140-01-548-2496, Fan Assy, 10" puller fan, $218.27
4140-01-548-1171, Fan Assy, 12" puller fan, $273.83

Maybe this will assist others in the future.
